About Local Standings
Local Standings is an independent publication of local market intelligence reports. Each report ranks practices in one vertical and one geography on five dimensions of competitive performance. The publication is operated by Geoff Skow.
Accepting these terms
By using localstandings.com or by subscribing to the publication, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Editorial independence
Rankings, scores, and written analysis are editorial judgments. They are not paid placements, and they cannot be purchased, promoted, or removed for a fee. We do not accept advertising on the leaderboards. We do not negotiate ranking positions with practices, agencies, or third parties. A practice may purchase a subscription that gives access to additional analysis about its own market position; that subscription has no effect on the ranking itself.
Accuracy and corrections
The reports rely on public information that changes over time. We make a reasonable effort to keep the data current and to correct factual errors. If you believe a factual claim about your practice is wrong, write to geoff@localstandings.com and we will review it. Corrections of fact are made promptly; editorial judgments are reviewed but stand at the discretion of the publication.
Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed by Stripe. Subscribers can cancel at any time from the Stripe-hosted customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and is not retroactive. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
Acceptable use
Subscribers may read, save, and quote reports for their own business purposes. Subscribers may not republish reports in whole, scrape the site, resell access, or use the content to train third-party models. Reasonable quotation with attribution is welcomed.
No professional advice
The reports describe market dynamics. They are not legal, medical, financial, or business-operations advice. Decisions about how to run a practice are the operator's to make.
No warranty
The publication is provided as-is. We do not warrant that every data point is accurate, that the site will be available without interruption, or that any particular outcome will follow from reading a report.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Standings's total liability arising out of or relating to the publication is limited to the amount you have paid for a subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes
If we change these terms in a material way, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
